PURPOSE:To limit a color signal in a proper range without distorting a sine wave of a color signal, by limiting a range which can be taken by a luminance level and a chroma level, in accordance with each level. CONSTITUTION:Each code of luminance 1a, chroma saturation 1b and hue 1c is led into a CPU 1. The CPU 1 converts it to a suitable code, transfers a luminance code 2a to a program ROM 3 of a varying speed, and transfers a chroma saturation code 2b and a hue code 2c to a program ROM 4 of a high speed. The ROM 3 converts the luminance code 2a to a luminance data 5a and transfers it to an adder 6. The ROM 4 converts the chroma saturation code 2b and the hue code 2c to a chroma data 5b and transfers it to the adder 6. The adder 6 addes the luminance data 5a and the chroma data 5b, and makes a color signal 6a. |
