The seat device has two ski sticks (1,2) which are connected by a seat (3) pivotably articulated to one ski stick (2). The seat (3) is designed as a rigid profile and is supported on a support (5) on the second ski stick (1). The seat device is set up for use in a few seconds and allows the sometimes long and laborious time spent queuing for ski lifts in ski boots which are often uncomfortable to be passed in an acceptable manner. <IMAGE>
