PURPOSE:To make the melt flow of a molten conductive material in one direction and produce a cast rotor of good quality by mounting conductive material pieces at the inlet of the spaces forming slot bars opposing to sprues. CONSTITUTION:The molten conductive material teemed through sprues 8 flows rectilinear toward slot bars 9a opposing to the vanes 7a of a sprue side end ring mold 1a but the rectilinear speed is decelerated at a certain degree by the mounted conductive materials 12. As a result, the molten conductive material fills the space parts of the end ring 6a on the sprue side, after which it advances toward an upper mold 3 by passing through the respective slot bars 9a, 9b, and forms the end ring 6b and vanes 7b on the counter sprue side. Hence, the melt flow the molten conductive material is made in one direction and uniformalized, whereby the joining of the flow in the slot bars 9 and the inclusion of air are obviated. The air in the bars 9 is escaped by the vents provided at the final arrival points of the molten material. |
