PURPOSE:To make it possible to arbitrarily select printing with only numerals or printing with numerals affixed with a decimal or comma using the same type wheel, by applying twice printing procedure of a type wheel-selectable type printer to a floating decimal point and comma printing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a case where numerals without a decimal point or comma are printed, a type wheel 3 is rotated, and when a type wheel shaft groove 4 of [blank 1] mates with a type selecting click 6, an electric current is passed through electromagnetic coils 13, and a projection 15 is disengaged from an anchoring part 8 by the action of an attraction plate 14. A type wheel 2 is rotated with the click 6 engaged with the type wheel shaft groove 4 by the force of a spring 10, and when a type 1 of the [blank 1] is moved in a line extending from the type wheel shaft 3 and a printing roller driving shaft 22, the type wheel shaft 3 is stopped. At this time, an electric current is not passed through the electromagnetic coils 13, and the attraction plate 14 has been restored to the position before the passage of the electric current. When the type wheel shaft 3 is again rotated, and the type wheel 2 is rotated to cause the type 1 of (4) to be placed at the printing position, the type wheel shaft 3 is stopped, and a printing roller 20 is forced on the type 1 of the (4) to carry out the printing.
