<p>A film of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol retains carbon dioxide and may advantageously be used in packages containing carbon dioxide, e.g. for food susceptible to deterioration in the presence of oxygen. The copolymer film may be sandwiched between outer layers of polyethylene or of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and may be bonded thereto by an ionomer resin or "Plexar" (RTM) copolymer adhesive.</p> |
