PURPOSE:To prevent trouble in conveyance of a copying material perfectly, by inhibiting feed of a copying material having a size incapable of being processed with a postprocessor in interlocking operation with the postprocessor. CONSTITUTION:The microcomputer XM of a copying machine X and that YM of a postprocessor Y and thier input and output ports I/P are connected via photocouplers PC1, PC2, exchanging copying signals, binding signals, etc. The microcomputer XM receives a signal from the microcomputer YM, when the machine X is interlocked with the processor Y, judges the size of a transfer paper to be fed from a transfer paper size detection signal and an output signal of a paper feed selection signal, and whether this is adapted to a specified size treatable by the processor Y or not, and if it is not adapted, the computer XM inhibits paper feed, and at the same time, displays ''confirm size'' on a display device for confirmation of paper size as a warning. |
