PURPOSE:To flatten a hearth, facilitate maintenance, and make temp. distributions, uniform by constituting the combustion devices to be disposed in the longitudinal direction of a metal heating furnace of burners provided on the hearth and radiation pipes. CONSTITUTION:A metal heating furnace 1 has a flat hearth 2, and while materials 4 to be heated placed on beams 3 in the furnace are moved in an arrow 10 direction, they are heated at their upper parts by upper burners 9 and at the lower parts by combustion devices combining hearth burners 5 and radiation pipes 6. Here, pipes 6 are provided coaxially to the axes of the burners 5, and have open ports 7 at the end in the furnace directed to the longitudinal direction in the furnace. The fuel and air for combustion charged into the burners 5 burn in the pipes 6, and flames and combustion gases are ejected through the ports 7. Hence, the flames and combustion gases heat the pipes 6, and are discharged to the arbitrary and desired correct positions in the ports 7. The pipes 6 are installed higher than the hearth 2 by means of supports 8 in order to decrease the damages by the foreign matter accumulating on the hearth 2. |
