The invention relates to rubber compositions containing A) from 10 to 90% by weight of a terpolymer made from a conjugated diene, an alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile and a alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid ester (carboxylate), preferably a terpolymer comprising from 20 to 50% by weight of conjugated diene, from 10 to 40% by weight of alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile and from 10 to 70% by weight of alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, B) from 10 to 90% by weight of a sulphur-vulcanizable acrylic rubber, and C) from 0 to 40% by weight of a copolymer comprising a conjugated diene and an alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile, having a content of bonded alpha , beta -unsaturated nitrile of from 10 to 60% by weight. The rubber compositions are inexpensive, have excellent processing properties, oil resistance, heat resistance and ozone resistance, result in only little mould soiling and furthermore only deform a little on compression.
