<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the removal of brake pads from a completely-dependent-type disc brake, by supporting the pads with a single pin and causing calipers to receive braked torque through the pin. CONSTITUTION:The brake pads 9, 10 of a disc brake 4 slidably fitted on parallel bolts 3 fitted in lugs 2 protruded from a front fork 1 is movably supported by a pin 12. For braking, a brake disc 11 is thrusted at both the sides by the pads 9, 10. At that time, braked toruqe oriented in the direction of an arrow A and received by the pads 9, 10 from the disc 11 is received by the torque reception surfaces 5a of bridgelike parts of calipers 5. The pads 9, 10 can be easily removed from the disc brake 4 by pulling the pin 12 in the direction of an arrow. Therefore, the pads 9, 10 can be easily replaced.</p> |
