MEASUREMENT OF SPACE BETWEEN GALVANIZED STEEL SHEET AND GAS WIPER NOZZLE IN MOLTEN METAL PLATING LINE

PURPOSE:To measure a separated space between galvanized steel sheet and a gas wiper nozzle by attaching a contact displacement meter and a noncontact displacement meter and operating the space from these output values through an adder and so on. CONSTITUTION:A contact displacement meter 4 transmits a displacement output value corresponding to the moved displacement (b) of a movable chip 5 connected to the top of a gas wiper nozzle 3 with a prescribed distance (d) to an adder. The displacement output value corresponding to the separated distance (a) of a noncontact displacement meter 6 attached to a galvanizing steel sheet with a prescribed distance (c) from the contact displacement meter 4 is transmitted to the adder 7. The adder 7 addes both the displacement output values (a) and (b) of the adder 7 and the succeeding adder 8 adds the output values (a+b) of the adder 7 to the output value (b) of a constant setter 9 to detect the separated distance (e) between the galvanized steel sheet 1 and gas wiper nozzle 3. Thus, the separated space between the galvanized steel sheet and gas wiper nozzle can be measured precisely.
