<p>The specification discloses new, therapeutically valuable l9-acyloximeperuvoside compounds (a) of the formula (I) FORMULA I and FORMULA II wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different, each containing a hydrogen atom, or an acyl , alkoxymethyl or carboalkyloxy group each with 1 - 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety, and R3 is an acyl-group with 2 - 5 carbon atoms; and l9-nor-10-cyano-peruvoside derivatives (b) of the general Formula (II) wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above. The new compounds, of the general Formulas (I) and (II), that differ from the known glycosides of a similar structure generally in that they contain in the genin portion a CN-group or an acylated oxime-group, possess valuable pharmaceutical properties. They have the effect - when administered in an appropriate dosage - of an improvement in the contraction strength of the heart muscles and are thus suitable in heart therapy, particularly in the treatment of heart disorder.</p> |
