PURPOSE:To effectively prevent after-image phenomena by providing a roll-like brush to the replenishing part of a toner hopper, and agitating the residual toner on the circumferential surface of a doner prior to the formation of a fresh toner layer. CONSTITUTION:A roll-like brush 8 is provided to the replenishing part of a toner hopper 70, and the ear tips thereof are allowed to contact with the circumferential surface of a doner 1, thereby rubbing the circumferential surface of the doner prior to the formation of a fresh toner layer. Therefore, the regressing residual toner T is agitated by the brush 8 in a part 1A, and the circumferential surface of the doner is disturbed randomly. The toner T stuck on the brush 8 is again discharged onto the circumferential surface of the doner in a paet 1B. Therefore, there are no more differences of varying intensities in the charge of the toner on the circumferential surface of the doner, and a fresh toner layer is formed in a homogeneous state. Thereby, the occurrence of nonuniform charging is obviated, and after-image phenomena are effectivey prevented. |
