PURPOSE:To recover only the reusable toner on a photoreceptor and prevent the scattering of the toner by providing a revolving roller on the upper stream side of a cleaning member, and applying an electric field between the roller and the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A toner capturing device consisting of a capturing roller 7, a blade 8, and a conveying screw 11 is provided on the upper stream side of a cleaning device 2. The roller 7 consists of a nonmagnetic sleeve 10 containing therein a magnet 9, wherein the clearance from the photoreceptor 1 is maintained at 250mu. A DC or AC electric field is applied between the sleeve 10 and the photoreceptor 1. Thereby only the reusable uniform toner particles containing no paper dust and the like are captured on the sleeve 10, and are recovered into a developing device by a screw 11. Since the electric field is applied, the amount of toner scattering is reduced considerably. |
