PURPOSE:To retrieve a still picture by recording an address signal for retrieval on an audio track which corresponds to a recording track for a desired picture signal when the signal on the recording track is reproduced. CONSTITUTION:When a signal recorded on a video track 4 is reproduced as a still picture, a reproduction trace is as shown by 5, so information on one address of a recording track 2 is recorded on and reproduced from audio tracks 1 and 2, so that the still picture can be retrieved. Since a tape run is stopped during the recording and reproduction of a retrieval signal in still picture reproduction, a magnetic head is moved. As a moving mechanism for the magnetic head, a piezoelectric element is usable as well as an eccentric cam. |
