PURPOSE:To send air without bad smell as soon as the conditioner with a refrigerant evaporator starts to operate, by providing an air path of the air conditioner with a bypass, through which the air is sent for a predetermined period soon after the start up of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:When an air conditioner is started, electric power is supplied to an electromagnetic clutch 10 while a ventilator 2 starts operation, to drive a compressor (not shown). At the same time, refrigerant is circulated in the refrigeration cycle to cool an evaporator 3. At this time a diaphragm operator 5 is not working as a negative pressure pipe 8 is closed due to a delay relay 9 inserted to prevent electricity from flowing to a solenoid valve 6. Dampers 4a, 4b are on the position shown by dotted lines in the Figure are showing to send air to car boom through a bypass 15. After the evaporator 3 gets cool enough, the air is sent through a main duct 14. This construction provides ventilation without bad smell soon after the start up of the air conditioner. |
