PURPOSE:To reduce the number of resource allotting regions within a storage device less than the number of devices, by carrying out allotment and release of the allotment of resources in accordance with the change of the ready and not-ready states of the device. CONSTITUTION:The number of resource allotting regions within a memory 20 is set at nearly the same number (3-5) of the devices which are used simultaneously among devices (11)-(18), that is, 4 regions 201-204. The devices (12), (14) and (15) are allotted to the allotment regions 201, 202 and 203 corresponding to each other with ready R, and the region 204 is defined as an idle region. When one (13) of these devices changes to the ready R state from the not-ready NR state, this region is allotted to the idle region 204. And when the device (12) which is already under the ready R state turns into the not-ready NR state, the allotted region 201 is released to turn into an idle region. In case another device (11) turns to NR from R, the region (11) is allotted to the idle region 201. Thus a memory region 20 becomes full, and the allotment is retained although other devices turn to R thereafter. |
