PURPOSE:To obtan laser heatsensitive recording material which requires no contact with a head by a method wherein ultra-red absorbent, dye precursor and organic acid for coloring by heating are contained therein as essential components and colored to print by laser heat. CONSTITUTION:(A) colorless or faint dye precursor (e.g.: crystal violet lactone etc.) (B) organic acid to color component A by heating (e.g.: bisphenol A etc.) and (C) preferably 0.5-5wt% of colorless or faint ultra-red absorbent [e.g.: bis (1-thio-2-phenolate)nickel-tetrabutyl ammonium, etc.] are coated on a substrate of paper, film, etc. together with binder, for example, of PVA and the like to obtain the desired recording material. The material is colored by the heat of gas laser, solid laser, liquid laser or semiconductor laser, etc. |
