<p>PURPOSE:To remove acidic gases such as NOx, HCl or SOx in an exhaust gas simultaneously in good efficiency, by a method wherein a large amount of ammonia is poured into the waste gas and the formed reaction compound is separated by dissolving the same in water. CONSTITUTION:Into the waste gas containing acidic gases such as HCl, SOx or NOx, ammonia or a compound thereof is injected in 3-12 equivalent amount to NOx from a tower 13 and an apparatus 11 to reduce NOx or to react with HCl or SOx. The resulting reaction products are separated in a washing tower 4 to be sent to the tower 13 and the recovered substance is reacted with an alkali metal compound or an alkaline earth metal compound to release ammonia and the released ammonia is recirculated to be reused. As described above, by using a large amount of ammonia, the waste gas is treated without generating secondary pollution.</p> |
