PURPOSE:To improve the working limit of a grindstone by forming recessed and protruded faces on the periphery of a circular bed metal and by applying the eutectoid plating of grind particles such as diamond and a metal such as nickel on these recessed and protruded faces so as to constitute a grinding face. CONSTITUTION:Gear-like recessed and protruded faces are formed on the periphery of a circular bed metal with, e.g., an outer diameter 3 of 52mm., inner diameter 4 of 40mm., segment pitch 4 of 0.5-6 deg., and segment depth of 0.1-1.2mm., and the eutectoid plating of grind particles such as diamond and a metal such as nickel is applied to them. When the eutectoid plating layer 7 of an electrodeposition grindstone thus plated is worn off, the bed metal 8 is exposed, but the eutectoid plating layer 7 remains on four sides of individual segments and the cutting effect can be still maintained. |
