<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the noise increase at the idling time by closing off the connecting passage between an intake passage at the down stream of a throttle valve of a carburetor and an empty chamber during the idling. CONSTITUTION:A valve 17 is provided on the connecting pipe 16 between an intake passage 8' at the down stream of a throttle valve 13 of a carburetor 1. A piston 29 in a cylinder 28 tied to an accelarater grip (not shown in figure) and the throttle valve are connected by a wire 14, and the valve 17 is connected to the piston 29 via a lever 21, wire 26 and spring 31 thereby isolating a empty chamber 2 from the intake passage 8' by closing of the valve 17 during the idling time when the throttle valve 13 is almost fully closed. The valve 17 fully openes faster than the throttle valve 13 when the accelerater grip moves the piston 29 to pull wires 14 and 26 thereby putting the empty chamber 2 back to its required function and the spring 31 maintains the fully opened condition of the valve 17 thereafter by its springing action.</p> |
