PURPOSE:To repair a printing plate surface to sufficient toughness even if the repaird film is thin, by coating a primer containing a multifunctional isocyanate compound on the defective part of the silicone rubber layer of the plate, then coating a silicone rubber solution, and forming a thin film by hardening them. CONSTITUTION:A primer containing a multifunctional isocyanate compound such as diphenylmethane-diisocyanate is coated on the defective part of a silicone rubber layer on a lithographic plate requiring no dampening water and using the silicone rubber layer as an ink repelling layer, and on the image line part when needed. On this coat layer, a silicone rubber solution is further coated, and hardened to form a thin silicone rubber film, thus permitting adhesion between this thin film and the image line part of thus repaired plate surface to be exceedingly high, its resistance to scratch, abrasion, and solvents to be highly improved, and sufficient toughness to be obtained even if the film is very thin, accordingly, the repairing solution to be easily coated because it can be diluted considerably. |
