PURPOSE:A transparent liquid medicinal composition that is prepared by adding a specific nonionic surface active agent and a tocopherol ester as solubilizing agents to glycyrrhizic acid and berberine chloride, thus being suitable for use in medicines for stomach and bowels, eye or skin, because of its inhibition of precipitation. CONSTITUTION:The objective medicinal liquid composition is prepared by using (A) 0.01-1.5wt%, preferably 0.05-1.0wt% of glycyrrhizic acid, (B) 0.01-1.5wt%, preferably 0.05-1.0wt% of berberine chloride, (C) 1.0-10.0wt%, preferably 2.0-8.0wt% of a nonionic surface active agent selected from polyoxyethylenehardened castor oil derivative and polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester and (D) 0.1-1.0wt%, preferably 0.2-0.8wt% of tocopherol ester. Resultant composition inhibits the precipitation of the complex formed by the acid-base reaction between components A and B and shows high stability for a long period of time. |
