PURPOSE:To manufacture a toner having superior developing characteristics and fixing in low pressure by treating a material for a toner, with acid or base, contg. a pressure fixing substance and a compound for removal dissolving in water by treatment with acid or base. CONSTITUTION:A pressure fixing compound such as polyethylene or other polymer having 10-10<6> cps melt viscosity at 140 deg.C is melted and mixed with a substance oxide, inorg. capable of being dissolved in water by treatment with acid or base such as inorg. salts, amides, esters or (meth)acrylic acid, and the mixture is pulverized. The resulting powder is put in an aqueous soln. of acid or base, whereby part or all of the substance made soluble in water by hydrolysis or saponification is leached out of the powder and dissolved in the soln. After filtration the remaining powder is dried and classified to obtain a toner having 5-35mum particle size. The pressure fixing substance is hardly stuck to the machine during manufacture, and the toner fixing in low pressure is obtained. |
