<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly determine a window even if a cursor points out a superposed position of the window by providing the titled device with a window memory for storing window information correspondingly to picture elements in a display image to be displayed on a bit map display. CONSTITUTION:The window information is stored in the window memory 3 corresponding to the picture elements of the display image to be displayed on the display 9. The window memory 3 is a readable/writable memory by supplying address information corresponding to the picture elements from a bus 4 and stores the window information corresponding to respective picture elements. The window information is the code information of a window formed on the uppermost position of a screen. The positional coordinates of the cursor are calculated by a coordinate system corresponding to the picture elements from the input information of a mouse 7. Then, the contents of the window memory 3 are read out and referred to rad out the window information. Since the read value is the code information of a required window, the window to be selected can be obtained, so that the window to be selected can be rapidly determined.</p> |
