PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to facilitate operation by detecting the state of a telephone circuit by a detecting circuit and by controlling the supply of electric power to a facsimile equipment body on the basis of the output of the detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:To a telephone set 30, a facsimile equipment body 13 is connected and between this main body 13 and a telephone circuit 20, a circuit-state detecting circuit 14 is connected. The equipment body 13 is provided with a circuit changeover switch 11 and a transmitting and receiving circuit 12 and the supply of electric power to the equipment body 13 is controlled by a control circuit 15 which inputs a detection signal generated by the detecting circuit 14. The detecting circuit 14 detects the state of the telephone circuit 20 and the hook state of the telephone set 30 and on the basis of its detection output, the control circuit 15 is controlled to supply electric power to the equipment body 13. Thus, the electric power that the equipment body consumes is reduced and the operation of facsimile transmission and reception is facilitated. |
