PURPOSE:To prevent a key input of an unfair data with an electronic cash register, by inhibiting the key input of a registration data if the key input is not started for the next registration data for a fixed time or longer and permitting the key input if the key input of the next registration data is started within the fixed time. CONSTITUTION:A sign-off process is carried out when a power supply switch is turned on, and a key input is inhibited for input of the sales data of goods. A control switch is set to a registration mode, and a responsible person number is fed through a keyboard 14 to be compared with each responsible person number preset to a memory 3. When the coincidence is obtained, a sign-on process is performed. Then a designated flag is set to the corresponding responsible person number memory, and at the same time a counter 25 of a timer circuit 22 is started. When the sales data is first fed, the flag under registration is set. Then the counter 25 is reset when the second and subsequent key inputs are applied. The counter 25 is reset if the key input is not started for a time longer than a fixed value. Then a sign-out process is carried out, and the counter 25 is released with the input of the set responsible person number. |
