Handling feed for wood ply strips - is moved by suction conveyor and joined by cord fed across strips

The handling feed has a suction hopper inclined across the top of the machine and belts travelling across the hopper. The belts are fitted with perforations passing over slots in the top of the hopper. The belts travel over upper pulleys and a lower cylinder. The strips of wood are fed from the belt onto a lower work table. The strips are joined via a cord which is stretched from the drum across the strips. The feed of the cord is controlled by hydraulic cylinders.
