<p>PURPOSE:To increase the time of picture recording with use of a high-density tape made of the alloy powder, by selecting the speed of record/reproduction by controlling the rotational speed of a rotary head cylinder and a tape feed capstan each in accordance with the using tape. CONSTITUTION:The reference signal given from a reference signal generator 1 is selected in accordance with a switch of the using tape, and a control is given to the drive pulse supplied from a rotary head cylinder pulse generating circuit 3 which drives a motor 53 that receives a servo control via a phase control circuit 31, a speed control circuit 51 and the like. In the same way, a servo control is given to a tape feed capstan motor. Thus the rotational speed is controlled to 1/n for the rotary head cylinder and a capstan 2 with use of a high-density tape using the alloy powder in comparison with the normal tape. As a result, the picture recording time can be increased by the n-fold value without lowering the quality of picture.</p> |
