The vault top wall longitudinal opening (5) has a shoulder (6) around its perimeter about which is positioned a frame (7) which supports the monument forming slab (11). Shoulders (13) are also cast into the vault mass inside and at mid height of the vault walls (3). The frame is larger than the opening shoulder and defines a continuous space (8) about the shoulder which is filled with fine sand acting as a filter. The frame rests on the top wall (4) of the vault via a non continuous synthetic joint that allows air flow through the filter.
