PURPOSE:To realize a high-accuracy shift of an arm in a reverse and a high-speed mode in a simple constitution and at the same time ensure an application of such arm shifting device to various types of players, by providing a switch to the pickup to detect the degree of displacement from the arm. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 13 and 14 made of copper plates are provided on an arm 8 and at the left and right sides of a stylus 15. A pickup stylus 12 moves toward an arrow 11 along the groove on a video disk 1, and the stylus 15 touches the electrode 13. Thus a terminal 16 of a control circuit 18 receives an input of signal A. The drive signal is sent to a drive circuit from the circuit 18, and thus the arm 8 is shifted toward the arrow via a motor 20, speed reduction mechanism 21 and a pulley 10. The motor stop signal is delivered from the circuit 18 by signal B. In such a way, a highly accurate shift is made possible for the arm in a reverse and high- speed mode in a simple constitution, and at the same time an application of such arm shifting device is secured for various types of players. |
