<p>For constructing the back and seat portions of vehicle seats, an upholstery carrier plate (1) has pegs (5) projecting from it, which plug into holes (10) in an anchorage plate (8). Both are of plastics, and the anchorage plate is attached to the seat, the other plate carrying the upholstery. Each peg has a head with a sloping surface to permit entry into a hole in line with it, when the two plates are assembled. Each hole has resilient radial tongues (10) which lock behind the head after insertion. Each peg is joined to its plate with a strengthening collar (4) at the junction point, which may also be reinforced by sloping radial ribs (6).</p> |
