PURPOSE:To accelerate the printing speed and to suppress oscillation during the printing by a method wherein two printer head carriers provided with a plurality of printer heads at equal intervals are arranged in parallel to a platen spindle and printing is performed while they are reciprocated in the reverse direction to each other. CONSTITUTION:A 1st carriage bar 1 and a 2nd carriage bar 5, carrying a plurality of printer heads at equal intervals are fixed to guide shafts 7, 8 in parallel to the central shaft of the platen 4 and installed at positions at equal distances from the platen surface 4. Leg parts 1a, 5a extending from the bottoms of the 1st, and 2nd carriage bars 1, 5 are connected to a timing belt 9 laid across two pulleys and can reciprocate in the reverse direction to each other by operating the motor pulley. The oscillation due to this reciprocative motion is cancelled to each other by the existance of the two carriage bars and the printing speed can be accelerated. |
