PURPOSE:To display the forenoon and afternoon clearly without providing a dedicated display electrode, by displaying the forenoon and afternoon during time correction through using a ring optical display part other than a time display. CONSTITUTION:The count contents of a minute counter 14 and a hour counter 15 are varied by using a switch S2, a monostable multivibrator 20, a quinary counter 21, a decoder 19, etc., to make time corrections which correspond to minute and hour display on annular minute and hour optical display parts 35b and 35c. During the time corrections, if a high-level output is applied from a prescribed terminal of the counter 21 via an OR circuit 22, an AND gate 23 is opened. Consequently, an AM or PM code counted by an AM/PM counting circuit 16 is applied to a second decoder 31 via the gate 23. Then, the forenoon or afternoon is displayed by an optical display at a prescribed part of an annular second display part 35a. Thus, the forenoon or afternoon indicated clearly upon occasion during time corrections without providing any dedicated electrode, corresponding pins, etc. |
