The family tent has a frame consisting of three sets of poles (1,2,3). Each of these has a transverse horizontal pole (4), two uprights (7,8) and two angular joining pieces (5,6). These join the extremities of the transverse poles to the upper extremities of the uprights. The lower extremities of the uprights of each set of poles are joined together by a transverse pin (9), round which they can pivot. The uprights are inclined towards the outside from the bottom to the top to support the outer wall of the tent.
