PURPOSE:To prevent a drum and a lining both from unusual wear and tear, by installing a radiation fin in the side of a brake drum, while constituting it so as to cause the cooling air produced by the fin to flow inside the drum, in case of a brake gear for a hydraulic crane's wire hoisting winch or the like. CONSTITUTION:Each of radiation fins 21 and 22 being titled as far as the specified angles alpha and beta to a rotation direction A of a brake drum 2 is set up at both sides 2A and 2B of the brake drum 2. In this constitution, with the brake drum 2 rotated, the radiation fin 21 feeds cooling air toward the drum 2 as in an arrow direction. In this drum 2, since an air passage 23 is pierced through, the cooling air passes the air passage 23 and flows out of the side of the radiation fin 22, then diffused and discharged outside by the radiation fin 22, during which the brake drum 2 is cooled. Like this, with the brake drum cooled, wear and thermal deformation in the drum and the lining are all prevented, thus the prolongation of their service life can be brought to fruition. |
