摘要 PURPOSE:To introduce fluorescence efficiently to the light receiving side and to improve the measuring sensitivity without making the whole instrument in large size by irradiating ultraviolet rays from a light source into a cell, and forming a reflexing layer of the fluorescence at a prescribed position in the above-mentioned cell. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolet rays having prescribed wavelengths outputted from a wavelength-selective optical system 2 are introduced into a cell 7 through an optical fiber 14 so as to irradiate a sample liquid to be supplied in the cell 7 from a liquid supply pipe 9. At a prescribed position in the cell 7, e.g. at an upper-half of the peripheral wall, a nearly semicylindrical reflexing layer 15 is formed by vapor-depositing e.g. aluminum. Among fluorescence emitted on every side from the sample liquid iradiated by ultraviolet rays, the one directed upwards is reflected and collected downwards. In this manner, the fluorescence is introduced efficiently to the light receiving side, and the measuring sensitivity can be improved without making the whole instrument in large size.
