Gas and liq. flowmeter with displacement transducer - consisting of slip contact between flow body and resistive element

A flowmeter for liquids and gases has a channel expanding inside a housing in the direction of flow and contg. a flow body displaced against spring force. A transducer converts the flow body displacement into an electrical measurement signal. It is an economical and simple device which is robust, reliable in operation, and enables the use of simple measurement value processing. The housing (10) has two parallel side walls (14) bounding the expanding channel (22) and guiding the flow body (24). The transducer has one or more slip contacts (36) connected to the flow body and to a resistive electrical element (38,40) arranged parallel to the walls of the housing. The connection may be made by two sprung slip contacts arranged symmetrically w.r.t. the flow body guide rod (26) which protrudes into the housing (10).
