An H-section sheet pile made of steel has connection parts at the ends opposite one another of its flanges opposite one another, the centre line of the cross-section of this H-section sheet pile running between the two flanges. One pair of connection parts are provided at one side or diagonally symmetrically with regard to the centre line and are designed as finger connection parts, whereas the other connection parts, which are opposite the said pair of connection parts, are designed as overlapping connection parts. To produce such a sheet pile, an H-shaped blank, which has at each end of its flanges a socket and two projections subsequently forming the connection parts, is rolled in grooves in order to reshape an H-shaped blank of symmetrical dimensions in the vertical and lateral direction into an asymmetrically formed H-shaped sheet-pile blank by the geometric relationships between a web and the flanges being shifted. The rolling is continued with other grooves in order to form a socket as well as projections at one end of a flange.
