Noise-dampening core hole cover - is cup-shaped with base towards inside thicker than edge

The noise-dampening cover seals the machined core hole, pref. cylindrical, in a casting, and is cup-shaped. The base portion (b) of the cover towards the inside of the casting, is thicker than the edge (a), which bears against the inside surface of the hole. It can be round, and in the form of a stainless steel extrusion, being inserted with a coating in the hole (D) and there additionally sealed and secured by a durable adhesive. The design combines effective dampening the ease of mfr. and fitting in position.
