<p>A roll for printing or copying devices has a surface repellent to toner particles. The outer layer of the roll is of silicone rubber impregnated with silicone oil. Pref. this silicone rubber layer immediately overlies a material which is impermeable to silicone oil. Alternatively, the silicone rubber roll facing (34) is mounted on a fine porous material (36), inside which is an absorbent material impregnated with silicone oil. Used partic. for a deflector or change-direction roll for feeding sheet material carrying toner particles. By using silicone rubber for the roll facing the need for special feed devices for the silicone oil is eliminated and the resultant roll is inexpensive.</p> |
