<p>A system for removing material from the bottom of a pressure vessel (16, 100 or 200) without relieving the vessel's pressure in which a tube (20, 102 or 202) connected intermediate its inlet and outlet ends to the pressure vessel receives material through the connection and into pockets (29 or 206) carried by a conveyor running through the tube. The conveyor carries the material to the outlet of discharge end of the tube. Liquid is injected into the pockets forming moving labyrinth seals at each end of the tube for preventing vessel pressure loss through the tube. Water leakage is minimized as has been a problem in previous systems. </p> |
