<p>A simplified plug for electrical plug connections comprises a casing (2) comprising a main component (4) and a cover or lid (6) which can be engaged with it; a space (14) between main component and lid forms a seating to receive and grip a cable (26); the cable is subdivided and passes out as a series of conductors through a number of openings (20) in the casing. These projecting conductors (32) then act as contact pins for plugging into the opposite part of the connection. The seating (14) pref. has a rectangular cross-section for receiving a flat, flexible cable. The lid may be hinged onto the main component or fitted to it with friction connections of the pin and socket type. Pref. the casing is L-shaped but the lid is flat. Pref. materials are polyvinylidene fluoride and ETFE.</p> |
