PURPOSE:To recognize displayed patterns in three dimensions to watch them easily by attaching a transparent plate with plural projections projected to the external to a substrate on the side of pattern display in a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:Transparent conductive films 2-1 and 2-2 which form prescribed patterns at least on one side of each film are attached to the internal surfaces of a pair of transparent substrates 1-1 and 1-2, both the substrates 1-1 and 1-2 are opposed through a sealing material 3, a liquid crystal element 4 is enclosed between both the substrates, and polarizing plates 5-1 and 5-2 are adhered to the external surfaces of both the substrates 1-1 and 1-2 to constitute a liquid crystal display element 1. A transparent plate 6 with plural projections 7 located to the positions corresponding to the patterns of conductive film 2-1 and projected to the external is adhered to the side of pattern display of the element 1. thus, a pattern to which light is transmitted is floated up from the surface of the display device by the lens action of projections, so that it can be displayed in three dimensions. |
