PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of an optical switch for a long period by transmitting and intercepting the light from an optical fiber to another optical fiber through the angle displacement of a doping prism to remove the bending displacement of optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:A doping prism 16 inside of a cylindric rotating body 15 is fixed by a supporting base 17 and the axis of rotating body 15 coincides with the optical axis of a focusing lens 12. The doping prism 16 is the right angle cylinder of an isosceles trapezoid consisting of an upper side 16a, lower side 16b and equal oblique sides 16c and 16d. The light from the focusing lens 12 is penetrated into the oblique side 16c of doping prism 16. A reversing rotation preventing claw 24 and a rotation preventing claw 25 which are supported so as to move freely are attached to a frame 5 in the direction of external circumference of frame 5. The light generated from an optical fiber 7 through the lens 12 is penetrated from the oblique side 16c of prism 16, completely reflected by the lower side 16b and reached an optical fiber 10 through a lens 13 from the oblique side 16d, increasing the reliability of the optical switch for a long period. |
