PURPOSE:To enhance dispersibility and to enhance resolution, etc., by surface treating CdS type photoconductor particles with a specified amount of polyolefin type wax, dispersing these treated particles into a specified amount of insulating binder, and coating this dispersion to form a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:Wax of polyethylene or polypropylene, or one of them oxidized or acid modified is dissolved in hot toluene or the like, incorporated with photoconductive CdS particles, and after sufficient agitation, freed of the solvent by evaporation to give CdS particles surface treated with 0.1-10wt% wax. One part wt. of these particles is dispersed into 0.1-10pts.wt. solution of the insulating binder to give a coating liquid. This is coated on a conductive substrate to form a photosensitive layer, thus permitting a photosensitive layer to be made high in dispersibility of CdS particles, cleaning easiness, abrasion resistance, adhesion, resolution, etc. |
