The paint-brush has bristles arranged in tufts (16) fixed into pins (10) which are angular in cross section and are in rows or circles. The pins (10) are joined together by thin connecting pieces (9) in between which are cavities, in a bottom part (8) which is loosely inserted into a clamp (12). The mould in which the bristle holder is made has a lead-filled space at the base, and consists of a base socket and an extension ring placed on top.
