PURPOSE:To improve processing capacity by extracting a subject to be renewed after detecting the presence or absence of the subject in the space higher in position than the page unit and a segment area. CONSTITUTION:A space table 1 consists of plural segments and each segment contains a reference bit A. A space table retrieving part 5 retrieves the table 1 and the ON/OFF of the bit A. Then the part 5 outputs logic value ''0'', for instance, when the bit A is turned off. Then a non-replacement state is decided via an inverter circuit 7, and a processing part 10 performs processing. When the bit A is kept on, a segment retrieving part 6 is actuated to retrieve only segments belonging to the ON state of the bit A of the table 1. The segment of non-replacement is processed via an inverter circuit 8. A page table retrieving part 11 also performs the same action as the part 6 and processes the ON state of the bit A within a page table 3 as a subject to be renewed through the part 10. |
