PURPOSE:A novel recording liquid, prepared by dispersing fine pigment particles in a nonaqueous medium with a specific (polyoxyethylene) fatty acid amide as a dis- persing agent, having improved extruding stability, storage stability for a long term, water and light resistance, etc., and suitable for the ink jet, recording method, etc. CONSTITUTION:A recording liquid prepared by mixing and grinding a pigment, e.g. copper phthalocyanine blue, in a nonaqueous medium, e.g. ethylene glycol monoethyl ether, with a compound expressed by the formula [X is H or -(CH2 CH2O)m-H; Y is -(CH2CH2O)n-H; m and n are integers 1-30; R is 5-20C alkyl]. e.g. palmitic monoethanolamide or polyoxyethylene (15mol) stearamide, as a dispersing agent in a ball mill, etc. diluting the resultant dispersion with the medium, and adjusting the viscosity to preferably 3-10cps. EFFECT:Improved fixing property, density of images and brightness with little odor and toxicity. |
