PURPOSE:To make it possible to sense the position having the abnormal temperature in a broad temperature range at a low cost by deforming the shape of an insulator in cable by bimetal provided along the cable, and varying the impedance. CONSTITUTION:The bimetal is provided along the two-way line wherein the insulator is provided between a pair of conductors which are arranged coaxially or in parallel, and the abnormal temperature sensing cable is constituted as a unitary body. For example, along the two-way line 10, wherein the insulator 13 is provided between the two conductors 11 and 12, the bimetal 20 comprising the metals 21 and 22 are provided. The entire body is covered by an insulator 30. When the abnormal temperature point occurs in the cable, the insulator is deformed by the deformation of the bemetal, and the partial variation occurs in the impedance. Therefore, by sending a pulse signal from one end of the cable and measuring the reflected pulse signal, the position can be measured over the broad temperature range at a low cost. |
