<p>A sensory isolation tank 100 has a heating element 30 for heating a flotation solution contained in the tank during its use. A temperature sensor 40 senses the temperature of the flotation solution, and temperature control means 40 are provided for maintaining the temperature of the flotation solution at a preset level by controlling the supply of energy to said heating element 30. Said heating element 30 is adapted to heat the peripheral edges of the flotation solution thereby to cause convection currents in the flotation solution which tend to maintain the user of the tank 100 in the centre thereof.</p> |
